General Info

The course has been designed to be achievable with an average level of fitness and will consist of a distance of anywhere between 30km to 50km in total. 

The course has been designed by Tim Wilkins and the disciplines, types of other activities and design have been copied from his experience of adventure racing around the world.

All competitors must follow the course designed by the course setter. 
All checkpoints must be visited. If a checkpoint is missed either a time penalty or disqualification will be given.

The course could include:

Trekking
- on farmland / native bush / trails
Flat water kayaking - double plastic sit-on-top kayaks will be supplied (no experience required)
Mountain biking - mainly down hill and on flats, off road and on road (mountain bikes can be hired from most bike shops)
Other activities – ropes (no experience required, not compulsory), introductory navigation and other mystery enjoyable activities 

This event is ideal for the beginner adventure racer, ex-support crew or even the ex-couch potato. Get some friends together for an enjoyable and memorable adventure.

Race Briefing/Registration - Friday March 30

This will be held at Golflands - on State Highway 2, Mangateretere. This will be held between 4pm and 7pm. All team members are required to attend the race briefing which includes a gear check, signing of liability release and course details.
